To me the clothes we wear have a story to tell and sometimes the die or need something to breathe life back into them. As a seamstress I am often left with countless pieces of fabric or scraps. I Hate to waste or throw away perfectly good clothing. I wanted to maximize the use of my materials while creating a sustainable clothing line that reflects my beliefs of responsibility of stewardship to the earth and wearing clothing that reflects this philosophy.
Vivaer Apparel is inspired by two things, life and air.
Much of the clothing in Vivaer Apparel is up-cycled to create the most beautiful and purposeful product that I can with the materials available to me. The majority of the clothing and materials I use are sourced locally if possible or com from my personal collection of textiles. Much of my inspiration comes from my Celtic heritage with a strong bohemian influence. Native patterns and coloring also play a big role in the overall style of Vivaer Apparel.
From that inspiration Vivaer Apparel was born.
